How the project economy benefits from AI (Artificial Intelligence)
The future of the project economy of all sectors will be radically changed by new digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), which encompasses various technologies including predictive analytics, natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning, facial recognition or image and video analysis. AI will disrupt the business of many sectors – hence, AI will also change the future role of PM and PPM and the way of how projects and portfolios of projects are managed, steered, prioritized and how resources are allocated. The vision of an artificial and automated PM and PPM environment is close to being realized.
In this interactive session, Marc Lahmann and Adrian Stierli will explain the key challenges the project economy faces. They will explore the global trends affecting project managers working on organizational transformation projects. As part of that, they will show what project managers need to be aware of when dealing with the overall change and new technologies (e.g. AI & Big Data) coming into their world. Additionally, they will describe how project managers can stay relevant in a fully standardized, automated, and predictive project environment and how project managers and companies can prepare themselves best by adapting new relevant skills e.g. statistical thinking, data management, strategic management, people and change management.
It all starts with trust: How can we trust numbers? How can we trust machines? Normally trust is built from human to human. How can you trust the numbers and predictions made by machines in your daily business? This session addresses this challenge with a particular focus on the future of the project economy.
